Back in 1985, ECE was given the task of planning the first major expansion of the studio complex at "Studio Hamburg" in the role of general planner. "Studio Hamburg" is generally considered to be one of the most important and biggest TV production locations in Germany.

As, with all the complicated technology involved (state-of-the-art recording studios, for example), ECE completed the studio complex on time and in budget, the management of "Studio Hamburg" also awarded ECE the contract for the further extension of the complex to the current gross floor area of 20,000 qm.

In 2000, ECE also built the Studio Berlin Atelier complex for the subsidiary company in Berlin.
