THURINGIA GOODS DISPATCH CENTER, OHRDRUF

Facts and Figures

Ohrdruf (Thuringia) was the site of a new goods dispatch center for the Otto Versand mail order company serving the eastern region of Germany. Here, large-format goods are stored and prepared for shipping over a total area of 95,000 qm. In addition to building the complex itself, ECE also developed the necessary link-ups to the road and rail network.

Drawing on its know-how in the field of logistics, ECE optimised the support structures and the in-house technical and engineering systems. This enabled the company to keep the overall construction price at affordable levels without the need to make any compromises in the area of operating efficiency. The 97 million Euro project was approved in a record time of only six weeks.
