Opening

The center was opened in 1973, extended in 1979, and optimized in 1989/90 and 1999/2000.
In spring 2010 ECE acquired the area of the former Hertie department store at the Allee-Center from its previous owner Dawnay Day. The 10,000 sqm retail space of the former Hertie chain store are being modernized and restructured. Completion of the restructuring is scheduled for spring 2012.
