ECONOMICCENTER, HAMBURG (LEASING)
Fact and figures
The EconomicCenter in the southern district of Hamburg city centre houses a total area of 52,000 m², made up of
- around 44,800 m² for offices
- around 2,200 m² for shops
- and around 5,000 m² for a Mercedes-Benz branch office.
The complex is made up of four separate buildings completed in two construction phases. The overall planning process was focused on economic considerations and the efficient and innovative implementation of the resulting insights.
- The superb location,
- the optimised space utilisation concept,
- flexible layout options based on small module sizes,
- the optimum unit spacing matrix of approx. 1.35 metres and a room depth of 5.40 metres,
- the option of using the full complex depth of around 13.50 metres,
- and the integration in the project concept of the latest insights into ergonomics
ensure that the EconomicCenter will do justice to its name.
DaimlerChrysler Immobilien (DCI) GmbH commissioned ECE to lease the premises. The concept developed by ECE was geared towards providing exclusive support services for the project, and tenants had already been found for all premises a long time before the first construction phase was completed. The AXA insurance group is a major tenant in the complex.
ECE's mandate also included the design of marketing instruments, such as the design of leasing information, the creation of a model office and the organisation of events for potential tenants. The marketing strategy ensured maximum transparency in the market.
