FRANKFURTER BÜRO-CENTER OFFICE PROJECT, FRANKFURT/MAIN

Facts and Figures

In the wake of the oil crisis, building work was initially discontinued on the skeleton of the 142-metre high Frankfurter Büro-Center in 1975. Due to the substantial construction cost and leasing risks, the building had still not found a buyer as late as 1979. ECE developed a construction programme to complete the project and implement technical improvements over the floor area of approx. 52,000 qm (40 storeys and 2 underground levels) and also drew up a leasing concept.

ECE started negotiations - not only with the owners but also with the high number of companies from the building trades whose bills had not been paid. Agreement was reached, and the building was purchased and completed ready for leasing. After succeeding in attracting a number of well-known high-profile tenants and a whole range of well-known banks, industrial companies and service providers, ECE turned the complex into one of the top addresses in Frankfurt's banking district.
