THE MALL ATHENS, ATHEN

ECE Projektmanagement and LAMDA Development have set up the joint venture ECE-LAMDA Hellas A.E. with the aim of developing, leasing and operating shopping centres in Greece in the coming years. The management of the "The Mall Athens" is the first project of this joint venture. LAMDA Development developed the shopping complex and ECE Projektmanagement is taking over the centre management.

The centre officially opened on November 25th 2005.

The mall – the first one in Greece - is at the same time one of the biggest shopping centres in south-eastern Europe and sets new standards for the shopping centre sector in Greece. Alongside around 195 shops, a multiplext cinema, a food court, service outlets and restaurants/cafés, a wide range of restaurants and cafés, the biggest food court in Greece and several cinemas provide a wide range of facilities and entertainment for the whole family that extends far beyond mere shopping. The first-class presentation of goods and products as well as the broad spectrum of events will ensure that "The Mall of Athens" soon becomes established as popular shopping and leisure venue in the Greek capital.

Site/Location

"The Mall Athens" is in the immediate vicinity of the Olympic Stadium, which was the venue for the 2004 Summer Olympics. The shopping complex is ideally integrated in the traffic and transport infrastructure, which was modernised specifically for the Olympic Games. The centre is located directly next to the new ring road and other major traffic interchanges. There is a metro station in front of the mall as well as a railway station serving regional routes and several stopping points for urban and regional buses.

Customer Service

The complex houses more than 2,100 parking spaces for motorised visitors.
