After a construction phase of less than two years, the new shopping center Stadtgalerie Passau has opened for the first time.

After a construction phase of less than two years, today the new shopping center Stadtgalerie Passau has opened for the first time. At 8 a.m., the Lord Mayor of Passau Jürgen Dupper cut the red ribbon and welcomed the first customers. 90 shops, cafes and restaurants on a retail space of approximately 21,000 square meters will be offered in Passau’s remodelled city center. The Stadtgalerie Passau has been developed and realized by the German Hamburg-based ECE, which will also be in charge of the long-term center management.

From the town planning perspective, the Stadtgalerie has been individually adapted to the local architectural conditions. The building architecture corresponds to the scale of surrounding development, integrates a protected heritage building and forms a central connection point between both existing shopping zones of the city.
