The first of a series of nine logistics centers for Hermes Germany opens
ECE will be developing and realizing a total of nine logistics centers throughout Germany for the logistics service provider Hermes Germany until 2019. The first of the series of nine logistics centers in Baden-Württemberg’s town of Bad Rappenau is now complete.
As a successful developer of logistics facilities, we are enormously proud of the fact that the prototype we’ve developed for this major project fulfils requirements to the highest standard with regard to cost-effectiveness, function, flexibility and sustainability,” commented Dr. Andreas Mattner, Managing Director at ECE.
Hermes Germany is investing a total of 300 million euros in the new locations in the Berlin region, Bad Rappenau, Mainz, Augsburg, Hamburg, Borgholzhausen, Cologne, Leipzig and Dresden. ECE is investing another 300 million euros for the buildings and land. In doing so, ECE is taking over all tasks from planning to the turnkey handover of the properties.
