CHURCH SCHINKELKIRCHE, SEELOW, RECONSTRUCTION (GENERAL PLANNING)

Facts and Figures

With its new tower, the Schinkelkirche church in Seelow (Brandenburg) is a symbol for the renaissance of the Oderbruch region. The historic church tower was blown up by German troops on April 11, 1945 as the Red Army approached the town. The reconstruction project was made possible by ECE founder Prof. Dr. Werner Otto, who was himself born in Seelow. The new church tower based on its historic predecessor provides space for, among other things, an exhibition room and a café.
