ALLEE-CENTER, REMSCHEID

During the construction of the Allee-Center in Remscheid, ECE integrated a six-storey administration building for the municipal utility in the new shopping center complex.

Opening

The center was opened in 1986 and modernised and extended in 1995/96. The latest revitalisation and extension started in 2008 and was finished in April 2009.

Retail area

30,000 qm retail area on 2 levels plus 2,500 qm in a complex for offices and doctors' practices

Branch and tenant mix

around 100 shops, a hypermarket, a sport shop, a fashion outlet, a consumer electronics store, a food court, service outlets and restaurants/cafés.

Site/Location

The Allee-Center is at the heart of Remscheid and directly linked to the pedestrian precinct.

Customer Service

around 1,000 parking spaces and an additional 300 in the neighbouring civic underground carpark, 6 bycicle stands, covered and airconditioned mall with seating and quiet zones

• by car: easy and convenient access via a well-developed road network (B229 and A1)
• by public transport: bus-stop serving 35 buses per hour outside the center
  

Catchment Area

The catchment area comprises Remscheid as well as the Bergishes Land region with a total of 355,000 inhabitants.
