ECE takes over management of "Hallen am Borsigturm" shopping center in Berlin
ECE has taken over the management of the "Hallen am Borsigturm" shopping complex in the Tegel district of Berlin. The center first opened its doors in 1999 and comprises a sales area of around 45,000 m² as well as roughly 15,000 m² of office space, a hotel with an area of around 7,500 m² and a further 5,000 m² housing a cinema. The shopping center has more than 115 shops, cafés, restaurants and service outlets. The tenants include Media Markt, Rewe, H&M, Strauss Innovation, Esprit, TK Maxx and Intersport Voswinkel. The multi-storey carpark has space for around 1,600 cars. One of the particularly attractive features of the center is its unique architectural design; in line with the plans drawn up by architects Claude Vasconi and Dagmar Groß, the complex is integrated in the historic locomotive construction halls of the former Borsigwerke company.
