Career opportunities for college students

Gain valuable practical experience with us during your degree program. Whether as an intern or in a work–study program – you can familiarize yourself with the wide range of fields in which ECE operates, play an active role in the company’s success, and grow your network of valuable contacts for your future career in our Young Talents@ECE program.

Internship

An internship with us lasts between four and six months. During this time, you will gain an in-depth insight into your respective area of responsibility, as well as practical experience. Our Young Talents@ECE program offers all of our young colleagues an extensive onboarding process, highly skilled internship supervisors, regular get-togethers for interns from different departments, special events, and long-term networking opportunities.

ECE offers both a voluntary internship and a mandatory internship during your degree program. If you do an internship that lasts longer than three months, you will receive a monthly salary of 1,560 euros with a 39-hour workweek.

The best way to apply is to send us your application approximately three months before you want to begin your internship with us. You can find a list of internships that are currently available on our job board.

Work–study programs

When you participate in a work–study program, you provide ongoing support for our projects, actively contributing your ideas, and in doing so, becoming familiar with our multifaceted day-to-day business. In return, we offer excellent conditions such as flexible work arrangements, interdisciplinary groups to share your thoughts and experiences, and exciting lectures. During the semester, you can work up to 20 hours per week. During semester breaks, we can arrange for you to work up to 40 hours per week as required.

You can find a list of available work–study programs and positions for student assistants on our job board.

Would you like to work on your thesis at ECE? Let’s discuss together the opportunities currently available for you to do so. The best way to start would be to do an internship with us so that we can get to know each other better. Afterward, we’d be happy to discuss the options available for you to work on your thesis.
