From planning to implementation

When developing new real estate properties, ECE always pursues a clear objective: creating urban marketplaces of the future and redefining living space. This is a claim which the company meets confidently with more than 50 years of experience in planning, realizing, leasing and managing shopping centers. This expertise plays a vital role with regard to developing other property types, such as company headquarters, traffic properties and urban quarters. All this makes ECE a reliable partner who can find innovative solutions and implements them sustainably for future generations.

Value Improving Repositionings

ECE does not only develop new projects. The company also modernizes and revitalizes existing shopping centers.  ECE provides a range of various services from a single source, such as extensive constructional changes to a property, sustained leasing and space concepts or the repositioning of a center, such as the transformation of the aging “Hamburger Strasse” shopping center to the modern “Hamburger Meile” and the revitalization of Marstall Center in Ludwigsburg, to name two prime examples.

Urban Quarter Development

Hotels, residential properties or leisure facilities – ECE also develops other property types than just shopping centers. Developing flexible, integrated quarters includes a variety of properties for different purposes such as retail, living, offices, hotels, restaurants or fitness and wellness. Thus, visitors to Milaneo in Stuttgart can not only shop, but also live and work there. Due to the unique mixed-use development, Milaneo received the MIPIM and the MAPIC Award.

Customized Solutions

A new headquarter for Philips? An open company campus for ThyssenKrupp AG? No problem. With 50 years of experience and more than 3,400 employees, ECE has established itself as a reliable partner for complex construction projects of any size and develops the project tailored to customer wishes and conceptions on time and on budget.

Attractive Architecture & Center Design

Architecture and design play an important role when it comes to the feel-good factor of a property. ECE's approach is to balance functionality and “wow”-effect and to focus entirely on the individual needs of its customers. Every project is based on its own story with various design elements – no matter whether the property is entirely new or an already existing building. A property such as Aquis Plaza, for example, blends in with Aachen's existing city center. Through its architecture with large glass fronts the center provides its visitors with much light and interesting views. Marstall in Ludwigsburg stands out with its unique interior design that is throughout reminiscent of the history of the site. Thus there is a strong link between the city and the shopping center.

Virtual Reality

ECE enables its clients to see their project long before construction starts: By using virtual reality technology retail partners and investors can get a breathtaking experience of new shopping centers. “Cano” in Singen and the new food area “Foodtopia” of MyZeil in Frankfurt, for example, have already been converted into several detailed panoramic images.
