In the best neighborhood
The MesseCity is already 80 % let: In the western part, the main tenant is the Zurich Group Germany, which moved into its new headquarters on around 60,000 square metres in autumn 2019 with 2,800 employees. Other tenants include the rubber manufacturer Arlanxeo and gastronomes such as the restaurant chain L'Osteria. In the seven-storey "Southern Cross" building, which is located directly next to the so-called trade fair balcony at the entrance to Koelnmesse, a Motel One with more than 300 rooms and an Adina Apartment Hotel with around 170 studios and flats opened in spring 2021. The building was acquired by the DWS fund in early 2022 as part of an asset deal for €111 million. By 2025, the office complexes "Centraal" and "Rossio" will be built in the second construction phase. For the "Centraal", KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft is leaving Cologne's Barbarossaplatz after more than thirty years and moving its local branch office with 19,700 m² rental space to Cologne-Deutz.
