The Playce Berlin
Together with Brookfield Properties, we are creating Berlin's new top address for gastronomy and shopping in the heart of the capital. As part of the complete repositioning of the arcades, a shopping centre with international high street flair is to be created, which will house around 90 shops and flagship stores of well-known brands from the technology, sports & entertainment, science & beauty, mobility & leisure and gastronomy sectors.

The Quarter
The Potsdamer Platz is the old and new centre of Berlin. In the immediate vicinity of the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate, it combines first-class shopping for tourists and Berliners with office, residential and hotel buildings and an exciting mix of art and culture. Among the advantages of the location are its central location in the heart of the city, excellent accessibility, more than 2,100 parking spaces in its own multi-storey car park, 30,000 office employees in the immediate vicinity and more than 110,000 visitors per day.
A new world of experiences emerges
The rebuilding of the center is our responsibility and will be completed by 2022. The aim of the repositioning is to tie in with the historical significance of the location and offer visitors a varied shopping and leisure experience of international format. To this end, the existing shopping street on the upper floor will be completely removed and replaced by impressive two-storey facades to offer tenants new presentation and space options. The heart of the completely redesigned passages is culinary: a community market with sustainable products from the region and all over the world, modern international restaurant concepts as well as local suppliers will be located on the ground and first floor on 4,400 square metres.
Manifesto: Food Hall of the Future
Visitors will find more than 25 restaurants, two bars, grocery stores for local consumption, a "Chef's Table" and a cultural stage in the approximately 4,400-square-meter "Food Hall" by Manifesto, a Prague-based operator of innovative food hub concepts. The new concept brings together gastronomic experiences and cultural and lifestyle events, as well as education and entertainment, to transform places into unforgettable destinations.
