Brand entry into Europe

The "Hollister" concept, which belongs to the US fashion company Abercrombie & Fitch, was launched in Germany in 2009 - in Hamburg's Elbe Einkaufszentrum.

Hollister offers surfer-style fashion. The target group is teenagers and young or young-at-heart adults: an important proportion of ECE's regular customers. 

For this reason, the market entry into Europe in Germany was largely carried out via ECE Marketplaces.

Hollister and its sister brand "Gilly Hicks" currently operate a total of around 40 stores in Germany, more than half of them in ECE Marketplaces alone - in Hamburg, Munich, Cologne and Dresden, for example.

Further European Hollister sites at ECE (in Poland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Spain, Denmark, Germany) are regularly under discussion.

The Dutch beauty & wellness company has grown rapidly in Germany through its central business partner ECE Marketplaces.

In addition to its market size, Germany has a comparatively strong wellness culture in Europe. Ideal conditions for the Dutch cosmetics and lifestyle brand to initially develop nationally there - with the help of the market leader: Rituals now operates more than 70 stores in German ECE centers.  

Rituals also benefits from the European ECE portfolio with access to sites in Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland, most recently with the opening in the Silesia City Center Katowice in Poland.
