Evaluation of 50 central data points specifically related to the complex asset class of shopping centers - with regard to key ESG KPIs and development of an ESG strategy based on this.

Systematic evaluation of the center with regard to the classification according to the EU taxonomy, according to which financial products and investments may be declared as environmentally sustainable.

Energy-efficient refurbishment
Measures to reduce energy consumption and achieve ESG targets.
In various shopping centers, we are responsible for switching to energy-efficient building technology and installing photovoltaic systems to reduce CO₂ emissions.
Anti-Knox façade
Through lighthouse projects and innovative approaches, we develop and test solutions for specific sustainability challenges. For example, in 2020 we tested the world's first nitrogen oxide-absorbing textile façade on an office building at our ECE Campus in Poppenbüttel.
Interactive guide for our centers
Rethinking guidance and orientation systems. The Main-Taunus-Zentrum is running a pilot project for barrier-free navigation in our centers with the help of contagt.
