Evaluation of 50 central data points specifically related to the complex asset class of shopping centers - with regard to key ESG KPIs and development of an ESG strategy based on this.

Creation of an energy refurbishment roadmap for shopping centers on behalf of the owners to gradually achieve climate neutrality.
Taxonomy check
Systematic evaluation of the center with regard to the classification according to the EU taxonomy, according to which financial products and investments may be declared as environmentally sustainable.

including analysis of potential subsidies and application for subsidies for the energy-efficient refurbishment of a retail property.

Energy-efficient refurbishment
Measures to reduce energy consumption and achieve ESG targets.
In various shopping centers, we are responsible for switching to energy-efficient building technology and installing photovoltaic systems to reduce CO₂ emissions.
Anti-Knox façade
As the market leader for tailor-made real estate concepts and a pioneer in sustainable solutions in the development sector, we tested the world's first nitrogen oxide-binding textile façade on an office building at our ECE campus in Poppenbüttel in 2020. Such textile façades, which filter harmful nitrogen oxides and convert them into harmless nitrates by means of applied active substances, can also be easily retrofitted and replaced on buildings of all types of use.
Interactive guide for our centers
Rethinking guidance and orientation systems. The Main-Taunus-Zentrum is running a pilot project for barrier-free navigation in our centers with the help of contagt.
