The Otto family as investors
As a reliable partner to our customers, we always think and act like an investor. The Otto family is also personally involved in many of our developments. Their international network and strong financial power give us a high degree of flexibility and enable us to take advantage of considerable growth opportunities.
ECE fund
ECE Real Estate Partners is licensed as an alternative investment manager (AIFM) and has been successfully investing funds from leading international institutions such as insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds and pension funds in malls with a strong market position and value appreciation potential as well as in hotel properties since 2010. The portfolio under management amounts to over EUR 10 billion. The Otto family is one of the fund investors.
Ruby Hotels
The Otto family has held a 25% stake in the lean luxury hotel operator Ruby Hotels since 2019. The combination of our development expertise and Ruby Hotels' operator competence creates attractive opportunities for further expansion of activities.
German EuroShop
Deutsche EuroShop AG is Germany's only public limited company that invests exclusively in shopping centers at prime sites. The company holds interests in European shopping centers in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, all of which are managed by ECE. The majority of shares are held by Oaktree Capital Management and the Otto family.
Cura Asset Management
As a family office, Cura Vermögensverwaltung (Asset Management) manages the Otto family's various investments in the real estate sector. It has held many of these investments in its portfolio for decades and thus acts as a committed investor with a long-term focus. Cura is also the parent company of ECE.
