The ECE Group - A successful family business
Mail order pioneer Werner Otto founded ECE in 1965, bringing the idea of shopping centers to Germany. Today, under the leadership of Alexander Otto, we develop, realize and operate properties in all asset classes as well as entire city districts. With our specialized companies ECE Marketplaces, ECE Work & Live, ECE Living and ECE Real Estate Partners, we offer our customers real estate services and fund management under one roof.
The Otto family as investors
As a reliable partner to our customers, we always think and act like an investor. The Otto family is also personally involved in many of our developments. Their international network and strong financial power give us a high degree of flexibility and enable us to take advantage of considerable growth opportunities.
The ECE Group, led by Alexander Otto (CEO) and Claudia Plath (CFO), is responsible for the strategy and management of the Group as a whole. The two market divisions ECE Marketplaces (shopping centers) and ECE Work & Live (residential, hotel, logistics, office) offer their services independently.
In addition, there is the fund company ECE Real Estate Partners as an independent, regulated alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) and ECE Living as a strategic partner for residential investments by national and international institutions. As a substructure, ECE Group Services provides all services within the Group.
