Start of construction and 90 percent occupancy rate for new "Food Garden" in the Main-Taunus-Zentrum

Start of construction and strong letting success for the new "Food Garden" in the Main-Taunus-Zentrum: In November, construction work began on the new highlight in the middle of the shopping center - a high-quality and varied Gastronomy offer with five freestanding restaurant buildings, partly covered and partly open terraces, green outdoor areas and sophisticated architecture. The opening is planned for spring 2025.

The leasing of the new restaurant space has already progressed successfully: 90 percent of the new space has been leased and the lease contract for the last remaining available space is about to be concluded. Well-known concepts such as the restaurant concept "Alex", the pizza and pasta concept "L'Osteria" and the steakhouse concept "The Ash" have profited as new anchor tenants in the gastronomy sector. Other well-known regional concepts will be added to the high-quality tenant line-up and will be presented in the coming months.

The new "Food Garden" is being built on an area of around 9,000 m² and with a total rental space of 4,000 m² in place of a former department store building. The aim of the strategic further development of the center is to add further highlights and a comprehensive range of dining options to the high-quality tenant mix and thus further increase the quality of stay and dwell time in the Main-Taunus-Zentrum.

Deutsche EuroShop and a closed-end Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) are investing a double-digit million euro amount in the Project as owners. ECE Marketplaces, which is also responsible for the operation and leasing of the center, is responsible for the planning and implementation.

Opened in 1964, the Main-Taunus-Zentrum is one of the largest and highest-turnover shopping centers in Germany. The shopping center is fully let and has 170 stores on a sales area of over 90,000 m², including concepts such as Apple, Anson's, Breuninger, Hollister and Zara as well as a multiplex movie theatre.
