Completion and handover of keys for fully leased logistics center Heilbronn realized by ECE

ECE Work & Live has completed the logistics center Heilbronn, which was planned and developed by ECE and realized by its construction partner Goldbeck Süd in a construction period of about 17 months, and handed it over completely to the user DSV Solutions. The transport and logistics services company had already rented the property in Möckmühl, Baden-Württemberg, directly adjacent to the A81 freeway, at an early stage and has been operating part of the space since March.

With the handover, DSV Solutions can now use the entire logistics center, which consists of two buildings with around 52,500 sqm of warehouse space, 2,500 sqm of office space and 7,500 sqm of mezzanine, allowing unrestricted 24/day use. DSV Solutions handles transport and logistics services for customers from various industries at the site.

ECE has planned the logistics center to be particularly energy-efficient and in line with current sustainability standards and the criteria of the ECE Logistics Code: Thus, it complies with the Efficiency House 40 standard, has a large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof surfaces, energy-saving LED lighting, and efficient heat pumps. A DGNB certification in gold is targeted for the property.

With the Logistics Center Heilbronn, ECE has completed another logistics project which is highly focused on flexible use and sustainable construction and operation. In total, ECE has already realized around 40 logistics centers, further projects are currently under construction or in planning, among others in Hamburg-Billbrook and at two locations in Poland.
