ECE logistics center in Hamburg-Billbrook fully leased to Pandora and Kühne+Nagel on a long-term basis
ECE has again succeeded in securing important tenancies in the logistics segment: The logistics center in Hamburg-Billbrook that has been planned, developed and realized by ECE Work & Live is fully leased. The Danish jewelry company Pandora and the international logistics group Kühne+Nagel will be long-term tenants of the ultra-modern, flexibly divisible logistics property.
The newly developed logistics center offers a logistics area of around 25,000 m² as well as around 5,000 m² of office, social and multifunctional space. Pandora has rented around 15,000 m² of warehouse space there to serve parts of its EMEA business. In addition, products can be personalized and commissioned on site using laser engraving.
Kuehne+Nagel has leased a further 10,000 m² of logistics space and is setting up a distribution center for medical devices and accessories there. Pandora already took over their rental space, Kuehne+Nagel will follow in the next few months after extensive expansion work on their space.
"With the full occupancy of our Hamburg-Billbrook logistics center, we have succeeded in completely leasing another attractive logistics property. This shows that modern, flexible, well-located and sustainable logistics centers are still in high demand on the market," says Dr. Jan Röttgers, Director Logistics + International at ECE Work & Live.
The property has been planned and realized in accordance with the highest ESG criteria and the “Efficiency House 40” standard. DGNB platinum certification is being sought. The sustainable features include PV systems on the roof, efficient heat pumps, a completely fossil-free heat supply, a roof construction and parts of the façade made from the renewable raw material wood, as well as extensive roof and façade greening.
CBRE and Savills acted as lead brokers for the leasing of the object while Pandora was advised by JLL for the rental of the property.
