COMPLIANCE IN THE ECE GROUP

ECE's reputation as a reliable, honest and fair partner in business is the basis for our success. Compliance is therefore an issue that we take very seriously.

THE ECE COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Our compliance management system is based on our set of values. An important component of this set of values is the value "Integer". Our understanding of this value is that, as a Hanseatic company, we are committed not only to national and international regulations, but also to the principles of honorable businessmen and act in a fair, reliable, calculable and honest manner.

We are ICG-certified

We regularly have our compliance management system certified by the Institut für Corporate Governance in der deutschen Immobilienwirtschaft e.V. (ICG). With the certificate for compliance management, the ICG confirms that we have set up a compliance management system that prevents violations of ECE's internal compliance requirements and applicable laws in Germany and abroad.
Important principles of the underlying value management are transparency and a good corporate culture. It also takes into account special features for real estate companies, such as rules on conflicts of interest in transactions or contract awards.
The ICG first awarded the certificate for compliance management to ECE in 2014 and confirmed certification in accordance with the ICG's certification regulations in 2016, 2019 and 2023.
 

THE CODE OF CONDUCT OF THE ECE GROUP

Our values and our understanding of values are implemented through standards of conduct in ECE's Code of Conduct, which you can download here.
The ECE Code of Conduct is aimed at our employees and serves as an ethical and legal guide for the concrete implementation of our values in the corresponding behavior of our employees within ECE and towards our business partners and competitors.

A respectful and trusting relationship with our business partners is important to us when working together. We therefore also expect our business partners to adhere to our compliance requirements and all legal provisions in Germany and abroad.

The basic compliance requirements for our business partners are set out in the compliance standards for our business partners.
These compliance standards apply to all suppliers, service providers, consultants, agencies, other intermediaries, externally commissioned specialists and other business partners who work for us or on our behalf in Germany and abroad.

REPORTS OF COMPLIANCE VIOLATIONS

Notices of possible compliance violations can be reported through our Compliance Helpline. The Compliance Helpline can be reached at:

Alternatively, ECE's Electronic Whistleblowing System is available to all employees and third parties, through which reports of violations can also be submitted anonymously. With its encryption techniques for data transmission and data access, the system currently meets the highest possible security standards and is available in eleven languages in addition to German and English.
