Living in a prime HafenCity location: the TIDE

ECE Work & Live is developing TIDE as a major part of the mixed-use building ensemble: several residential buildings with around 600 high-quality condominiums and rental apartments in a double waterfront location facing the Elbe and Baakenhafen harbor and with views over the city. Another building will house a student dormitory with 260 apartments and the UBS Digital Art Museum as a cultural and tourist attraction. In addition, there will be a daycare center, commercial space and restaurants.

On a plot of land of about 45,000 m² in the west of the Italian capital Rome, ECE Work & Live, together with local partners, is developing, planning and realizing an exclusive residential complex in a park-like location with a total of about 160 apartments in six buildings. The investment volume amounts to more than 65 million euros.

Hotel development expertise meets operator competence: Investment in Ruby Hotels

We not only develop hotels, but we also bring our expertise to their operation: The acquisition of shares in the lean luxury hotel group Ruby Hotels by the Otto family as part of a capital increase has put us in an excellent position to invest even more heavily in hotel properties in the future. Ruby Hotels also operates hotels with highly flexible room geometries in our properties, for example, on an area formerly used as an office in the Kö Galerie Düsseldorf. Another ten Ruby Hotels are currently under construction or being planned in Europe.

Series production of logistics centers for Hermes

For Hermes Germany, we are building nine logistics centers nationwide, including one in Hamburg. In doing so, we have assumed responsibility of all tasks: from planning to turnkey delivery. For this major project, we have developed a sophisticated prototype in two sizes. The dispatch center in Hamburg processes up to 100,000 shipments per day and was awarded Gold Status by the German Sustainable Building Council.

Hermes Logistic Center in Hamburg Billbrook

Campus for Société Générale

We are building an office campus with a gross floor area of 25,000 m² in Hamburg. The main users are Bank Deutsches Kraftfahrzeuggewerbe (BDK) and Hanseatic Bank, two companies of the French Société Générale Group. The investment volume is around €115 million and completion is scheduled for spring of 2022. A further 3,300 m² of office space is currently being marketed.

New look for the Hamburger Kunsthalle

Thanks to a 15 million euro in-kind donation from the Dorit and Alexander Otto Foundation, the Hamburger Kunsthalle was completely modernized in just 17 months under our project management. We worked closely with the municipal authorities, the Hamburger Kunsthalle, and museum experts to modernize the landmarked ensemble of buildings.

A quarter with a view of the cathedral: MesseCity Cologne

Working together with STRABAG Real Estate we are developing MesseCity Cologne in a prime location in Cologne. Between Koelnmesse and the ICE- and Köln Messe/Deutz train station, six ultra-modern office and hotel properties with around 135,000 square meters of floor space, including space for restaurants, service providers and retail outlets, will be built by fall 2025. The six 7- to 16-storey buildings, with rental areas ranging from 800 to 3,400 square meters of total floor space per level, meet the latest standards and can be interconnected as required. Zurich Group Germany was the first tenant to move into the three western office buildings covering around 60,000 square meters in fall 2019. With the other tenants Arlanxeo and the restaurant chain L’Osteria, these buildings have been fully let before completion.

Build-to-rent apartments in the UK

Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester – in these three economically strong cities in England, our many years of experience and expertise in property management are utilized to the greatest extent possible. We operate and lease a total of 2,100 residential units there. The centrally located, fully equipped, and modernly furnished apartments of various sizes bring together the service and comfort of a hotel with the feeling of being at home by offering their residents numerous services such as a fitness center, co-working areas, and event space.
