Compatible with career – diversity at ECE

Equality on all levels: this is what characterizes ECE. Every employee is unique and contributes with his/her individual characteristics to our corporate culture and ECE's success. Our claim is to allow equal opportunities on all subject and managerial levels irrespective of age, gender or even sexual orientation. Differing views are the basis for innovation and strategically contribute to added value. This is why we are convinced that we sustainably expand our corporate success with diversity on managerial level. Thus, diversity is not only important for the individual employee; it is paramount for a fair working atmosphere across the entire company. At ECE there is a variety of opportunities.

Creating opportunities

To see women at top management level as a matter of course – this is one of the issues ECE focuses on. We set a goal for this purpose: Twice as many female executives in ECE's top management by 2017. This important cultural change requires trend-setting measures, which we are implementing in the framework of the development of our executives and when communicating with employees.

"Compass" – mentoring for women in executive positions

Since 2012, a central measure has been "Compass", the special mentoring program for women. The goal of the 12-month program is to promote female talents at ECE, make them more visible within the company and to thus provide them access to important networks and to increase their career opportunities. In doing so, the mentees receive support and feedback by competent mentors from the management board and the directors of ECE and the Otto Group.
